February 17th/22

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all well and have had a good week.

Updates/Reminders/Thank you's

*Thank you for all of the lovely Valentine's Day cards/treats

*There will be no spelling next week due to Family Day on February 21st and the Professional Development Day on February 22nd

*Next Wednesday is Anti-Bullying Day.  We will have a Kindness Parade (rain or shine) and students are encouraged to wear pink and bring a friendship book to share during our 'Club Red' reading.

*We will be celebrating the hundredth day of school on Tuesday, March 1st.  Students are encouraged to wear their hundred day projects (necklace, hat, t-shirt etc.)

*The sign up for the Zoom conferences is now available via the parent portal.  Please take time to celebrate your child's work with them before the conference and that they need to attend the Zoom meeting with you.  Each conference time is blocked off for 15 minutes but will take closer to 10 minutes.  Looking forward to seeing you all on March 3rd or 4th.  I will be sending a separate Thursday link and Friday link to avoid the issue that occurred last conference time.  Your child's work will come home the Wednesday before conferences.

Our book fair preview day is Friday, February 25th.  Your child may bring home a 'wishlist' that day.  Our shopping day is Wednesday, March 2/22.  If you would like your child buy something in person, please send money in a clearly marked container/envelope.  We are strongly encouraging everyone to shop online this year as we are not unable to provide extra adult support due to Covid protocols.

When it’s time to shop, visit our school’s Virtual Book Fair Extension site using this link:

Thank you,

Amanda Roberts
