Create a jump rope rhyme or a hand clapping game. Write it down, practice it, then teach it to others. Ask for their input, then see if you can make it even better. | Imagine an idea for an original TV Show. Would it be a cartoon? Comedy show? Reality show? Something else? Draw and write to describe your ideas. | Combine two of your favorite animals into a new animal. How will it move? What will it eat? Draw a picture of it in its natural habitat, and give it a name. |
Write an adventure story. Imagine you are on a trip to an exciting location. What unbelievable things happen to you? What difficulties do you encounter? | Draw a portrait of what you will look like in 20 years. As part of the background, include pictures of things that will explain what you enjoy doing | Invent a new holiday. What would it be called? Who would it honor or what would it celebrate? What traditions would people have to recognize this holiday? |
Plan the ultimate summer vacation. Brainstorm ideas, including location, activities, special events, and experiences. Make a detailed itinerary. | Design a lemonade stand (or other entrepreneurial business). Sketch a picture and consider advertising, layout, and location. Think about what potential customers would like. | Make a musical instrument from recycled materials. It can be a new idea, or be based on an instrument that already exists. Be sure to personalize it to represent you. |

Week 12 Home Learning
Happy Summer, Everyone! There are only 2 days left of the 2019/20 school year. It will certainly be one that we all remember. Parents/teachers have always been partners in education but this has been the case more than ever this year. I thank you all for balancing so much at home while still supporting your child's learning. I hope you all enjoy a much deserved break this summer. For this final week, I am providing you with a choice board. I hope your child will choose an activity or two that is interesting to them for their learning opportunities this week. Please see the larger print version below the June graphic for easier reading.
Take Care,
Amanda Roberts
