September 25/20

Hi Everyone, We had a busy week in Division 10 which included our Terry Fox Run.  Your children were troupers and did the walk/run in the rain (just like Terry did! ).  We are getting used to the routines of being back in school and new friendships are developing (which I always love to see happening this time of year). 

Updates/Reminders/Thank you's 

*everyone who requested a mask should have received it on Monday.  All students carried them out to their parents or were asked to put them in the front pouch of their planners if they were going to daycare.  Please put your child's initials on the mask to ensure there are no mix-ups.  Overall, the students who are wearing masks have been putting them away properly when they aren't wearing them but this will ensure that students only wear their own mask.

*just a reminder that we are keeping doors/windows open during the day.  It can cool down in here so please ensure that your child has an extra layer to put on 

*we will be going outside rain/shine it has been great to see everyone well prepared with boots and raincoats.  Thank you! 

*Monday is a professional development day so there will be no school for students 

*I do have an EA that works in my room periodically who has autoimmune issues.  I would like to ask children (who have. masks here) to put them on when they are working in a small group with her. Please let me know if you have any concerns around this. 

*a green student verification form was sent home today (front pouch of the planner).  Please read over the information to ensure that it is accurate and sign the back before returning. 

*please pay for the planner online or send in cash/cheque ($7) and send in any school supplies that haven’t been sent in yet 

*please complete the consent forms via the parent portal if you have not already done so 

*I will be sending home a Scholastic order form early next week.  Orders are only accepted online at this time.  Our class code is:

*your children may mention that they had to stay inside at lunch today due to a bear sighting in the area.  They are not making this up!  Fortunately, we received word that it had moved on so we were able to get outside for a little playground fun at the end of the day.
